Let Family Photographers Capture the Moments of Your Maui Vacation

The Hawaiian island of Maui is perhaps among the best family-oriented destinations in the world. Families waste no time in experiencing the island’s Polynesian culture and its array of pristine beaches and crystal clear water. Aside from these usual destinations, did you know that there are other things in Maui that you can do with your keiki or kids?

Family Photography in Maui: A Family Trip through the Hana Highway

There’s no question that Hawaii is the most gorgeous of the 50 states, and the popular beaches and waterfalls of Maui are some of the most beautiful around. If you’re looking for the most lush and tropical, there’s not better place than Hana. The travel is timely (and some might say treacherous). The only way to get there is by traversing the famous windy, narrow, often single lane road known as the Hana Highway. The highway itself took over 16 years to build all 52 miles between Kahului and Hana, and boasts 620 curves over 59 bridges. If you’re someone prone to car sickness, opt for the front seat! One of our top recommendations for families vacationing in Maui is the road to Hana. With countless stops at waterfalls, rainbow eucalyptus trees, bamboo forests, and sparkling pools, there are plenty of picturesque family photography opportunities.

Family Photography Ideas: Wear a Swimsuit to Show Off Your Baby Bump

It’s always beach season in Maui, and just about everyone here has a favorite swimsuit or two in their beachwear collection (me included!). The other thing about Maui is that it’s always babymoon season. And a babymoon is the best time for unique family photography, or gorgeous maternity portraits that will serve as your first-ever family photographs. While there are plenty of gorgeous bump-hugging wardrobes out there, I always try to get my mommies-to-be into a bikini for a few of the photographs. With that in mind, I’ve rounded up the top swimsuit styles especially for baby bumps! Supportive Bikinis Your belly isn’t the only thing getting bigger throughout your pregnancy! While a bandeaux-style bathing suit top might work for you when you aren’t pregnant, it might not provide enough support for the girls when you are.
